I thought I would post a couple of pictures of our houses here in Rome. The first is the house of the brothers, which is where I live. It is called Casa Gesu Sommo Sacerdote (House of Jesus the High Priest). The second picture is a picture of our novitiate house, Casa San Giuseppe (The House of St. Joseph) where I lived my first 3 and a half years in the community. It is located about a football field (which is actually an olive grove ;-) ) away from us. The last picture is a photo from the rooftop terrace of The student house looking down to the novitiate. The statue is an original statue of Jesus the High Priest, designed by our Father Paul. It looks out over the whole region, and is quite beautiful. Underneath it will be written "Learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart." This is what Jesus says to every priestly soul...
Yes, God has truly blessed us with this location. It is incredibly peaceful, and we have beautiful nature surrounding us, including vineyards, olive groves, and huge kiwi patches. We are also so close to Rome, that we can be anywhere in the city in one hour. Anyway, thought you might like to see my digs! More soon. Ciaò and God Bless!

More great pictures! I love it because I have been to your home and the pictures are a warm reminder. It is a beautiful day in Muscatine this Friday the 9th (the day before your Mom's birthday!). I know winter will be descending on us soon but we praise God for this beautiful fall and a chance to connect with old friends. God bless you. Sharon
Great pictures Br. Joe!
